About Us
Our Story: Home Repair and Handyman Services.
We are Joe and Bridgit Muratore; a husband and wife team dedicated to helping homeowners maintain their homes by tackling small home repair projects and honey-do lists that you don't want to do; don't have time to do; don't know how to do or shouldn't do on your own.
We decided to start a home repair business because we wanted a lifestyle that we could see ourselves living with a family. The two of us are the crew - Joe is the handyman and Bridgit gets to tell him where to go by keeping the schedule. We know that by taking Joe's skills, strengths and talents and multiplying them with Bridgit's skills, strengths and talents we can grow exponentially.
We started the business after watching both our grandmothers struggle to maintain their homes after the loss of our grandfathers. We quickly realized not only the 65+ community needs our help but also single parents, working adults and busy families who work full time and would rather spend their days off doing anything but home projects.
What makes us unique is our unwavering commitment to personalized service, meticulous attention to detail, and a versatile range of services that cater to individual needs. We prioritize customer satisfaction through timely project completion and skilled craftsmen who use high-quality materials. Our dedication to open communication sets us apart as a handyman company that delivers exceptional results with a personal touch.
What We Do:
1. Face-lifts
Upgrades to a portion of the home that are too small for larger companies. For example, installation of a backsplash vs a full kitchen remodel or framing in one window vs. an entire house window replacement. A general contractor has a crew they keep busy one project at a time and splitting their crew to send one person to a small job is not always cost effective. Therefore these face-lift projects are something we can accomplish quickly and easily.
2. Honey-do lists
This is a list of 3-5 items that need repaired within the home. We ask clients to keep a running list of items and when the list reaches 3-5 give us a call.
3. Residential and Commercial Landlords
Single property residential landlords often need items such as appliance replacement, drywall dings, cabinet, cupboard and fence repairs, and garbage disposal replacements. Commercial realtors may need occasional repairs but also need between tenant over-hauls. We take great pride in building strong relationships with both local and out-of-state landlords. Our objective is to earn your trust by finding solutions that fix the problem, the right way, the first time, in a cost effective manner.
4. Professional Relationships - Realtors and Restoration Companies
It is important to us to build strong working relationships with other professionals. We do a lot of RE-10 and pre-listing repairs for our realtor friends such as joist and truss repairs, siding, fence and gate repairs. We work alongside restoration companies with finish work such as baseboard replacement and finish carpentry.
5. Custom builds
Every home is unique to the homeowner and we are here to help with the odd corners, nooks and crannies. We love taking these spaces and customizing them to fit your family's functionality.

When we decided to start this business, we were really looking for something for us to do as a couple. We were stuck in separate careers, careers that we were very good at and had fallen into at young ages, and basically, it was the life that we knew, but we saw ourselves living a different lifestyle.
We saw ourselves being able to take our kids onto a job site or do things together and make our own schedules, which we didn't have in our separate careers. We really wanted to have a lifestyle that we could see ourselves living with a family, and we've always enjoyed home repairs on our own house.
So we stopped and asked one another, if anything at all were possible in this world, what would we want to do?
Joe kept coming back to wanting to help people maintain their homes. We were watching both of our grandmothers struggle with maintaining their homes after their husbands had passed, and we knew that there were other people out there like our grandmothers who could use a hand maintaining their homes.
Is there anything in particular you wanted to achieve with starting this company besides working together every day?
So the traditional punching a timeclock mentality was what I started off doing right out of high school, and that was what I did. I always showed up on time, always did a good job but that isn't very fulfilling in a lot of ways.
Nothing against it or anybody who does that, but to me, I was never 100% satisfied. I always wanted to start my own business. I just didn't know what was out there. My abilities were very much focused on dentistry and the dental industry. So I didn't really even know what to do.
So after the pandemic hit, our current jobs were disrupted. That really is what got us thinking – if there is a possibility of a change, now's the time. We can do it. We have the savings. We have the ability. We don't have any kids yet, so we have the opportunity to do something different.
After pursuing several different avenues, we happened upon home repair. I didn't even know it was an actual thing, but we realized that was something we could do.
After looking into it further, we thought, we can do this. It's something we can get into involved in.
Yeah, like I said, when we started, we wanted to help people maintain their homes, and we quickly found that it wasn't just widows or widowers. It wasn't just the 65 and over community that physically couldn't be on a ladder or shouldn't be on a ladder anymore.
It was single parents, working moms, and families who work all day, get home, and don't have time to raise their kids and fix or replace a leaky faucet, which we weren't expecting.
Families, though, they work two jobs, so on their days off, they don't necessarily want to spend it doing home projects. They would much rather be at the lake with their families, fishing or whatever. So we quickly found that a lot of family for reaching out to us and we found a lot of people were looking more for small re-models and we really found ourselves in a position where large construction companies do not want or are unable to do it. It actually costs a large company money to pull a guy off of a large job and send him out to do a small repair or a small remodel.
So we really found there's a lane, like tile backsplashes, that a tile company, that is a very small job, or inserting one window in a house, is a very small job for a window company. They would much rather replace all of the windows in your house.
That is something that they have their crews for but to split up a crew and send them to replace one window is not cost effective for their company but it is definitely something that the two of us can take on and accomplish quickly and easily.
So other things that we do, we call it the “honey do” list of items and this is somebody who, again either doesn't have time to or doesn’t want to or perhaps doesn't know how to do certain things. We ask our customers is to make a list of three to five things that they need repaired and we do it for them, quickly, safely, and at a reasonable price.

When Joe and I were dating actually, I started a honey do list for him. He would travel from the Seattle area a weekend about once a month and one of those first weekends I had a list of three or four things that just were things I was not making the time to do, one of them being replace the doorbell.
I remember another one being something I couldn't figure out - one of my lights over my kitchen sink wasn't working, and something else, oh my closet door wouldn't shut. It was off the track. How silly right? But that was my very first honey do list for Joe and so we asked for three to five things it can be as simple as that or it can be a little more in-depth. It doesn't matter we'll come in and knock out that “Honey Do” list for you.
So those are our honey doers.
We also like to build relationships with vendors so if you are a restoration company, a realtor, a single property manager, or a landlord, and I specify single property manager because we understand the timeliness needed in the property management world.
However, we do work around other jobs, so we may not have the flexibility to jump on it that very week, we are typically booked out two to three weeks, but single property managers who we can work with their schedules and they can work with ours are a good fit.
Again, we like to build relationships with vendors and create a win-win situation,
we do a lot of RE tens. Joe does go into crawl spaces, attics, truss and joist repairs. Things of that nature. Siding repairs, fence repairs. One particular business that we like working with, is out-of-state landlord that own a few business properties.
What we would like to do is earn their trust to where we are the first ones they call when they have a problem. They have tenants in there, like a strip mall, where they have tenants and something needs repaired but they don't want to always have to be trying to find the most economical or cost effective but correct solution They know they have someone they can trust to diagnose and, correctly, cost effectively, repair, rather than just automatically replace it completely each time. Throw money where it doesn't need to go.
So that's us. M-Squared of Idaho. Home repair and handyman services.
